Imagine being nine years old and what is commonly called a “triple threat” in the entertainment industry. Hard to believe, right? Well, that’s precisely how the industry’s movers and shakers are classifying Jadagrace, the adorable young actress who was cast on the spot for a starring role in “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.” The rising star also has vocal capability far beyond her young age and has dancing prowess that most kids twice her age only dream of being blessed with!
Eight months after signing with one of the industry’s top talent agencies, Jadagrace was called in to audition for the pivotal role of young ‘Star’ in this coming summer’s blockbuster “Terminator Salvation” (Warner Bros. Pictures) and nailed the role on the spot when renowned director McG recognized how thoroughly prepared the young actress was the moment she entered the room. In the highly anticipated new installment of “The Terminator” film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as ‘John Connor,’ the man fated to lead the human resistance against ‘Skynet’ and its army of Terminators. Jadagrace’s street urchin ‘Star,” along with Anton Yelchin’s ‘Kyle Reese,’ is one of the essential characters who assists Connor in uncovering the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind. The adventurous, extremely athletic nine-year old did most of her own stunts which she says were both “fun and challenging.
Jadagrace, who has been singing ever since she could talk and recently completed her first single, “Express Yourself” – sure to be a huge hit – an uplifting song one can’t help but sing and dance along with. She co-wrote the lyrics along with producer/writer Jehrone McGregor in between her five days-per-week commitment as a star student at Debbie Allen’s Dance Academy and regular participation at the Gary Spatz Acting Conservatory.
The unstoppable nine-year old—the daughter of a Japanese American mother and African American father—loves art, piano and soccer. Her latest hobby is silk rope climbing which combines her exceptional athletic skill with acrobatics. Nearest and dearest to Jadagrace’s heart are the six dogs and six cats she rescued and takes care of daily. It is precisely this balance in the young thespian’s life which will catapult her into stardom of those she admires most – Debbie Allen, Raven and of course, Hannah Montana!
